Our district includes the heart of rural and small town Stearns County, from Lynden Township in the east to Paynesville in the west, from Kimball in the south to Avon in the north.

Nestled in rolling hills, prairie and farmland, we have rivers and lakes, including the Horseshoe Chain of Lakes and the meandering Sauk River. We take pride in our natural environment and recreational opportunities, including boating, swimming beaches, summer hiking, winter cross-country ski trails and more.

Our district is the home of the Lake Wobegon Trail and many parks, including Fairhaven Mill Park, Kraemer Lake-Wildwood County Park, Lake Koronis Regional Park, Rockville County Park, Upper Spunk Lake County Park, Warner Lake County Park and more.

Our district includes all or part of seven public school districts: St. Cloud Area, Avon-Albany, Rocori, Paynesville, Kimball, Eden Valley-Watkins and Annandale. More than 5,700 college students live in our district, including nearly 4,000 at the College of St. Benedict & St. John’s University.

We have vital manufacturing, granite, health care, renewable energy sectors and many family-owned businesses. We have more farms than any other county in Minnesota.
We take pride in our small town character and friendliness.
